Christine King BVSc, MACVSc, MVetClinStud * Practicing Veterinarian * Educator/Speaker * Author * Researcher * CAVM Student/Practitioner * Medical Intuitive | | PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Practicing Veterinarian I spent the first 6 years of my career in private veterinary practice in Australia, most of that time at a specialty equine hospital. For the next 3 years I worked at Veterinary Teaching Hospitals as a resident veterinarian, first in Australia (University of Sydney Equine Hospital) and then in the US (North Carolina State University Large Animal Hospital). Those were intense years, so after leaving NCSU I took a break from active practice and worked as a veterinary medical editor (see next page) for several years. During that time I maintained an active interest in equine medicine and I also pursued an emerging interest in complementary and alternative therapies. In 2002 I finally felt ready to return to veterinary practice, and thus was Anima born. Educator/Speaker One of my passions is teaching. Aside from the time I spent teaching veterinary students while I was working at Veterinary Teaching Hospitals, I have intentionally kept my role as an educator informal over the years so that I am free to follow my interest wherever it takes me. I have given numerous talks and demonstrations to horse owners, including some at large national events such as EquitanaUSA, Carolina Classic Horse Expo, and the Tufts Animal Expo. I have also given several scientific presentations at veterinary conferences in Australia and the US. I really enjoy giving seminars for horse owners, and I am happy to speak on almost any topic.
